Hi friend! Welcome back to another month & continuous hot weather (I can’t say much for states getting 90-100 degree weather while LA is around 70-75). Before I introduce our two special authors guests+giveaway, here’s some catch up news:
Apps that help me do life:
If you run around like a chicken with it’s neck cut off (who came up with that phrase?) well here are some apps that help me with daily life. Not sponsored but I do have coupons for some:
Ink Cards- Lifesaver! Whenever you need to mail a cute card, photo card, celebration card, etc….they do all the work! You can select from their greeting cards or upload your own photos/art. It gets mailed for you in a postcard form or nice envelope $2-$4 (+the option to add on a gift card inside). Use this link to try it out and send your first card for free.
Mamava- For all the moms who need to find a lactation space/changing stattion. Whether it’s at the airport or finding a nursing room in your city, this app has tons of free rooms to use on the go.
Instacart- If you know me, you know I hate doing groceries. I love that they appear on my doorstep saving me so much time (Because LA traffic is another thing). There’s a code for $10 off if you want to order groceries.
Libby-Get free audiobooks/ebooks! Just link your library card and you’ll have access to so many books! I listen to all my audiobooks from Libby.
Airalo- To purchase an eSIM when traveling abroad. I used this when I went to Europe & my digital SIM card worked all over. You just download the SIM and it works, super easy.
UberEats- When I don’t have time to cook, I defiantly order in. Many restaurants have a buy 1 get one free option/ free item which I use pretty often. Here’s a code for $20 off a meal. My sister and I also use this to send food to our parents as a gift.
Yuka- I use this app religiously to scan all my food and body care products. It’ll tell you what chemicals are in your products and how safe it is to consume. You’ll be surprised by all the toxicity in U.S. food. Try it out and scan a few items at your home.
Author Interviews!
Welcome Paola Santos & Molly Harris 🎉 They both have 2024 July releases! Let’s jump in with all things books & a fun giveaway!
Paola Santos
Paola is a debut author from Venezuela who has an amazing book available in both English and Spanish (Shout out to Holiday House Publishing for releasing Spanish books). I love the relationship between a grandparent-child and the appreciation of a yummy fruit.
How to Eat a Mango / Cómo se Come un Mango: Carmencita thinks mangoes are sticky, messy, and she for sure doesn't like picking the rotten ones from the ground. Abuelita on the other hand loves mangoes and teaches Carmencita how to enjoy the delicious fruit. Together they enjoy nature and use their five senses to enjoy the fruit and appreciate how it grows. When she finally bites into the mango, Carmencita has a deep appreciation...and wants another! Sneak Peek:

Molly Harris
Molly is my agent sister (we are both represented by Sera Rivers as our agent) and she has an amazing book focusing on something we can all relate to: burnout 🔥. THE BIG SQUEEZE is Molly’s debut book. Fun fact: my agent shared her query letter as an example of a great pitch and it’s so cool to see that idea into a physical book!
About the book: The Big Squeeze is about a hardworking sponge who tidies up everyone's messes. When the cartoon of milk spills, the sponge cleans it up. When the knife cuts the veggies, the sponge is there to clean up the scraps. Toaster stuck on crumbs? Sponge to the rescue! BUT constantly giving and giving with little self care leaves the sponge feeling burnt out. Check out this great read for all ages on how the sponge can teach us a thing or two! Inside page:
